Milan, Sergio Conceicao thanks fans

These are the words of AC Milan coach Sergio Conceicao after the derby first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals drew 1-1 against Inter.

“We are waiting for the return match where there is a chance to go to Rome to play the final. As a first thing I have to thank the public who supported us. It was a balanced match. We had to play a smart match and we did it.”

“We also had our chances. I didn’t see Inter get forward like they usually do. I think the result is fair. We have to continue like this to get to the Coppa Italia final and win it.”

“I have been here for three months. I arrived here and we played the Super Cup. After that we played every three days. It’s only two weeks that we can train calmly. I know it may sound like an excuse but it’s not. We are looking for form in the camp right now.”
