Premier League 2024-2025: Bournemouth-Ipswich Town, the likely lineups

One plays to chase the European dream, the other to give themselves one more chance of salvation. It’s with this in mind that Bournemouth and Ipswich Town will take the field Wednesday night at the Vitality Stadium at 8:45 p.m. Italian time. The hosts are going through an up-and-down period and have not won in the league since Feb. 15, the Blues for their part are chasing their first Premier success in 2025.

Andoni Iraola, coach of the Cherries, will in all likelihood have to do without Luis Sinisterra and Marcus Tavernier, both of whom are injured. In the 4-2-3-1, behind Evanilson’s only forward, there&#8217s a doubt related to Justin Kluivert&#8217s condition, but he should grit his teeth and take the field anyway. Brooks should instead replace starter Tavernier on the right.

Kieran McKenna, coach of Ipswich, will not, however, be able to count on Kalvin Phillips, a former Juventus market darling, and Sammie Smodics, both of whom are out. Chaplin and Tuanzebe, who are expected to start from the bench, are in doubt. The form will again be a 4-2-3-1: the point man is Omari Hutchinson, England U21 national team member.

Probable formations:

BOURNEMOUTH (4-2-3-1): Kepa Arrizabalaga; Cook, Zabarnyi, Huijsen, Kerkez; Christie, Adams; Brooks, Kluivert, Semenyo; Evanilson. All. Iraola.

IPSWICH TOWN (4-2-3-1): Palmer; O’Shea, Woolfenden, Burgess, Davis; Morsy, Cajuste; Philogene-Bidace, Enciso, Clarke; Hutchinson. All. McKenna.
