Ilaria Ghisalberti Italian champion on the day of Federica Brignone’s fall

The 2025 Italian Giant Slalom Champion is Ilaria Ghisalberti: the 24-year-old from the Centro Spotivo Carabinieri won the tricolor challenge offered on the Mediolanum slope of Ski Area Lusia, in Val di Fassa (Trentino) with an overall time of 2’17″74; exited in the second run after being in the lead at mid-race Federica Brignone (Carabinieri), winner of the overall and specialty World Cup.
Second after the first run, Ghisalberti won the first overall Italian title of her career, topped by the best time in the decisive split. In her wake, gaining in turn a position in the second run were Lara Della Mea (Army), silver medalist at 0″61, and Asja Zenere (Carabinieri), bronze with a delay of 1″73.
At the foot of the podium, fourth was Carole Agnelli (Fiamme Oro, +2″14), with Laura Steinmair (Army, +2″31) fifth followed by Marta Bassino (Army, +2″56).
The Italian women’s absolute championships continue tomorrow in Val di Fassa with the super-G returning to Passo San Pellegrino on the La VolatA slope that hosted yesterday’s tricolor downhill; in the control booth always the FassActive Ski Club with the support of the Apt Val di Fassa and the Comitato FISI Trentino.
