Bad news at home Inter. Denzel Dumfries’ recovery time is getting longer. The Dutch outfielder, who has suffered an injury in recent weeks, will face an additional stop. Initially, it was hoped for a return within a few days. But according to the latest information, the player will have to stay in the pits for at least another 3-4 weeks. This means Dumfries will definitely miss the team’s crucial challenges against Bayern Munich, valid for the Champions League quarterfinals, scheduled for April 8 and 16.

L’Inter received, therefore, a double mixed news these days. While for Federico Dimarco, who underwent further medical checks, the all-clear came. Serious muscle issues have been ruled out (although he was precautionarily sidelined in the Coppa Italia derby). Dumfries’ recovery is taking a different turn. The Dutch outfielder, won&#8217t be able to return to the field until the second half of April. In fact, according to Sky Sports, it will make the Dutchman unavailable for as many as four matches. Including the double match with the Germans.

Dumfries’s absence is a big blow for Simone Inzaghi, who is in emergency especially on the flanks. His ability to push on the right flank has been one of the hallmarks of the Nerazzurri&#8217s game this season, and his absence may force the coach to revise some tactical choices. Inter will, therefore, have to do without Dumfries at a decisive moment of the season.

In addition to the double-header with Bayern Munich, Dumfries will also be unavailable for the match against Parma and the one against Cagliari, two other matches that are expected to be important for Inter’s Serie A ranking ambitions. Nerazzurri fans are hoping that Dumfries’ recovery will take place without further complications, but uncertainty remains, and the team will have to adapt to his absence to cope with the upcoming engagements.
