Premier League 2024-2025: Everton-Arsenal, the likely lineups

It will be the match between Everton and Arsenal, one of the last matches played at Goodison Park before the Toffees move to the new Everton Stadium, that will open the 31st day of the Premier League: kickoff at 1:30 p.m. Italian time on Saturday, April 5, under the orders of 39-year-old referee Darren England, who has been appointed to direct the match.
Guided by David Moyes, who took over from Sean Dyche in January, thus returning to the blue bank of the River Mersey after nearly 12 years, Everton managed to pull itself out of quicksand with a string of positive results, interrupted, however, by the knockout in the return derby against Liverpool played on Wednesday (1-0). Against the Gunners the challenge is complex, the Scottish coach will rely on 4-2-3-1 with Beto the main offensive reference.
Arsenal, on the other hand, is playing to consolidate second place in the standings: the team of Mikel Arteta (among other former Everton players) is 12 points behind Liverpool and four ahead of Nottingham Forest. In the league he comes from two consecutive successes against Chelsea and Fulham and aims for a hat-trick by fielding a 4-3-3 with Saka, Merino and Martinelli in attack.
Probable lineups
EVERTON (4-2-3-1): Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Gueye, Garner; Harrison, Doucouré, Alcaraz; Beto. All. Moyes.
ARSENAL (4-3-3): Raya; Partey, Saliba, Kiwior, Lewis-Skelly; Odegaard, Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Merino, Martinelli. All. Arteta.
