Salernitana changes coach for the fourth time this season. Through a statement issued on its official channels, the Campania-based club announced the signing of Pasquale Marino as its new coach until the end of the season.

‘U.S. Salernitana 1919 announces that it has reached an agreement with Mr. Pasquale Marino and entrusted him with the technical guidance of the first team until June 30, 2025″

“The new Granata coach, born in Marsala on July 13, 1962, has great experience in Serie B, a category that has seen him as a coach on no less than 330 occasions from 2004 to the present with Arezzo, Catania, Pescara, Vicenza, Frosinone, Brescia, Spezia, Empoli, SPAL, Crotone and Bari. A proponent of proactive soccer, Marino began his career in the old C2 with Paternò, before landing in the third tier at Foggia. In addition to his extensive knowledge of the cadet league, the Sicilian coach also boasts 189 Serie A benches at the helm of Catania, Udinese (led one step away from the UEFA Cup semifinals in 2008/09), Parma and Genoa.

The ownership and management welcome the new coach, already on the pitch this afternoon to lead his first session at the Mary Rosy Sports Center. Pasquale Marino will be assisted by assistant coach Massimo Mezzini, who takes over from Vincenzo Melidona. All other members of the technical staff are confirmed.

The coach will be officially presented to the press on Friday, April 11: venue, time and access to the conference will be communicated in the coming days to representatives of the media” this is the note issued by the Granata club.

It’s a decidedly complicated season that Salernitana is experiencing, which in the course of the season has exonerated as many as three coaches: Martusciello, Colantuono and Breda.
