In the field against cystic fibrosis

The Padel One Club in Sant’Andrea delle Fratte, a suburb of Perugia, will host “A Smash to Cystic Fibrosis,” a charity padel tournament to commemorate Marika Oranges, who passed away 20 years ago due to cystic fibrosis.

The event, scheduled for May 3 and 4 and combining sports and solidarity, aims to raise funds for the hospital in Branca (Gualdo Tadino, Perugia province), helping to purchase machinery and materials useful for treatments for young patients suffering from this disease.

The tournament will be mixed and divided into two levels, to allow both enthusiasts and more experienced players to participate. It will also be open to children, to emphasize the importance of sports not only as competition, but as a tool for physical and mental well-being.

The event will culminate with an awards ceremony, which will be attended by politicians and entertainers, testifying to the importance of the cause.
