A goal sought, wanted, expected. Frattesi scored, angrily, the goal that allowed Inter to rout the Allianz Arena (2-1 the final) in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals. A very important goal for Inter, but also for the midfielder himself, struggling with a personal period that is anything but easy.

“In my life I always thought I had the head as the best quality, that nothing and no one could ever scratch me. When I was faced with this, however, I could no longer move forward. I was too attached to Grandma. I wasn&#8217t used to seeing her like that, it was heavy. But tonight there&#8217s her hand in it and a few squeals she&#8217ll have thrown for sure” his words reported by Gazzetta dello Sport.

In recent days, Frattesi had apologized, via social media, to his fans for not “being 100 percent”. Now it is clear why. Undoubtedly, the goal at the Allianz Arena was a real boon for the midfielder. This was evidenced by his irrepressible jubilation, complete with a yellow card for taking off his game shirt.

Frattesi, Inzaghi’s key man, is already focused on the upcoming matches, ready to give it his all: “We are moving forward on all fronts. Sometimes it is not easy to maintain continuity but now we have to bring out everything we have because this final match is too important for us”.
