Milan: new and final offer for Maignan’s renewal

A Milan continues to be focused on the season finale. There’s a Coppa Italia to try to win and a distant but still not impossible Champions League placement to achieve. In parallel, the Rossoneri club is also thinking about next season.
It now seems clear that, in the summer, there will be many changes and not only at the management level (wait for the new sporting director). There is talk, insistently, of the future of Theo Hernandez (contract expires in 2026) and of other elements such as Tomori or Loftus-Cheek. Also watch out for the Maignan issue.
The French goalkeeper’s contract expires in June 2026. There has long been talk of his possible contract renewal, which, at the moment, has not yet arrived. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan would not like to go beyond 4.5 million euros, net, per season (currently, he has a salary of 3.5 million). The goalkeeper’s entourage would like, instead, a much higher salary.
If no agreement is reached, a farewell seems the only option. Milan does not want to sell out and, as a result, Maignan is faced with the classic fork in the road: either he accepts the Rossoneri club’s conditions and renews or he packs his bags and goes elsewhere. The feeling is that, soon, his final decision will be known.
