It will be Blue derby in the round of 16 in Monaco. Yes because with another resounding comeback Lorenzo Musetti continues his journey in the “Rolex Monte Carlo Masters,” the third “1000” of the season, endowed with a prize money of 6,128,940 euros, which is being played on the clay of the Country Club of Monte Carlo, in the Principality of Monaco.

The 23-year-old from Carrara, No. 16 in the rankings and No. 13 in the seeding, who on the “red” of the Principality reached the quarters two years ago (followed by Sinner), after a comeback success in the opener over Chinese qualifier Bu, No. 67 ATP, repeated himself by overcoming 16 75 62, in two hours and 19 minutes, Czech Jiri Lehecka, No. 28 ATP.

Thursday will be – as mentioned – tricolor derby in the round of 16 between Musetti and Berrettini, no.34 ATP. One even is the balance of previous matches, with Lorenzo winning in two sets in the final of the ATP 250 in Naples (cement) in 2022 (but the Roman was injured in the foot) and Matteo scoring, again the two sets, in the semifinals on the grass in Stuttgart last year.
