Trieste, Colbey Ross has made his choice: the message to club and fans
The sports marriage between Pallacanestro Trieste and Colbey Ross will continue after the end of this season. In fact, the club and the MVP of the 2022-2023 season have reached an agreement for renewal, a multi-year deal (on the duration of which the club has not released further details) that aims to strengthen the ambitions of the Julian club, already this year fighting for a playoff spot as a newly promoted player.
“I am extremely grateful for the’opportunity to stay at Pallacanestro Trieste – Ross commented. “This season has been amazing, I fell in love with the city and the fans. I am excited for what the future holds for this club as I continue my growth as a player and as a person. I want to greatly thank Michael and Paul (gm Arcieri and president Matiasic, ed) for the trust they have placed in me”.
The number one of the Red and White leadership, Matiasic, commented: “A club with international ambitions must rely on athletes who can make a difference at every level. At the same time, however, it needs to keep its roots firmly on the ground. This for us is Colbey Ross: a great player, an MVP, yet capable with simple gestures of reminding everyone of the importance of human relationships and why we play basketball, which is to have fun and enjoy ourselves. I am really happy that Colbey and his family are doing so well in Trieste that they want to stay here. So a thank you also goes to the city, to our fans, who have welcomed them so well. All together we are building something great”.
