Nicolo Bulega ahead of Bassani on Friday at Assen

Nicolò Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) is the best on Friday at the Pirelli Round in Holland of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship: the Emilian is one of three to lap in 1’33” on the historic TT Circuit Assen, ahead of Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) and Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team).

Bulega in FP2 achieves a 1’33.592, half a second better than his boxmate Alvaro Bautista who is fifth. Good sixth time for Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team) in 1’34.135 ahead of the Independent Ducatis of Andrea Iannone (Team Pata GoEleven) and Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team). Tenth best time for Scott Redding (MGM BONOVO Racing) at 597 thousandths from Bulega and a little better than Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team). Ryan Vickers (Motocorsa Racing) is 21st after a crash in Turn 1 during FP2.

Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) in 1’33.844 is second 252 thousandths behind Bulega; 14th time for boxmate Alex Lowes in 1’34.620.

Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) ends today in third with a 1’33.911. Ninth time for Michael van der Mark (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team), who on his first day at his home track achieves a 1’34.630.
