Olimpia Milano: out by technical choice, season compromised

“No injury, it is a technical choice”. A few words to explain, in a clear way, why Dimitrijevic was not called up in the challenge (with nothing at stake) of Euroleague against Baskonia. In the’last game of the regular season, coach Messina preferred the very young Lonati to Dimitrijevic.

It is hard not to think that this may be the final rejection. The Macedonian point guard, after a great start to the season, has lost his way, losing confidence in himself and, in fact, ending up on the sidelines of the red and white project.

Coach Messina gave him fewer and fewer minutes and, in the end, came even the decision not to include him in the 12 “by technical choice”. News that would have the Milanese club hunting for a new playmaker for the LBA playoffs is not a good sign for Dimitrijevic.

And to say that the Macedonian, in his first outings, had shown he had a knack for it. Lots of points in his hands (his talent was seen especially in the first challenge with Real Madrid) and an important mental solidity. Then, accomplice to a few bad games, he went a bit’off. His adventure at Olimpia Milano may end sooner than expected. Really a pity because, at the level of pure talent, Dimitrijevic is not the last of the track.
