Carlos Alcaraz suffers, folds Davidovich Fokina and flies to final in Monte Carlo

Carlos Alcaraz is the first finalist of the 2025 edition of the Monte Carlo Masters 1000. The Murcian tennis player won the Iberian derby with Alejandro Davidovich Fokina with a score of 7-6 6-4, after a battle of two hours and ten minutes of play.

In the first set, the world number three got off to a rocket start immediately winning no less than five of the first seven games. On the strength of the break lead, the Murcian has a chance to serve for the set in the tenth game, but Davidovich Fokina is good at taking advantage of his rival&#8217s sudden black-out to bring the score back to even and drag the match to the tie-break, where Alcaraz again raises the bar, winning the partial set with a score of 7-2.

The second set is directed towards the second set, where the world number three is the first to win.

The second set is routed from the opening bars, with the world number three finding the break in the opening game. At that point, the class of 2003 was flawless on serve and managed to maintain the lead until the final 6-4.

In the Monte Carlo final, Carlos Alcaraz will face the winner of the match between Alex de Minaur and Lorenzo Musetti.
