Serie A 2024-2025: Venice-Monza, the likely lineups

Venice and Monza open Saturday’s 32nd day of Serie A. Kickoff at 3 p.m. at the Penzo. Lagunari and Brianzoli are respectively penultimate and last in the standings: the orange and green, coming off five draws in the last six, need the three points to hope for salvation, while the “biancorossi” are at the last resort, 11 points away from the salvation zone.
Di Francesco will have to do without Schingtienne, still struggling with physical problems: in his place is Marcandalli ready in the defensive trio in front of Radu. In midfield, Busio looks for confirmation, while the recovered Duncan will start from the bench. On the left flank, Ellertsson seems to be ahead of Haps and Carboni for a starting jersey. In attack, Yeboah could flank Gytkjaer from the first minute, with Oristanio and Fila on the bench.
Nesta will have to forgo the disqualified Kyriakopoulos: Birindelli will therefore be diverted to the left, while on the right lane there will be room for Ciurria from the 1′. In the middle of the field, Castrovilli and Akpa Akpro will act on the sides of Bianco, with Zeroli out of the call-ups. Up front, the offensive tandem consisting of Keita and Mota is confirmed. In defense, Izzo will lead the department, while Turati will be between the posts.
