Protagonist of the Grand Prix of Qatar with a brilliant comeback that took him from’eleventh to third place under the checkered flag, Pecco Bagnaia has passed in second position after the controls of the commissioners, who found an’irregularity at the level of tire pressure of Maverick Viñales, who arrived just in front of Bagnaia. The penalty of 16″ took away from the Spaniard what would have been the first podium of the season for himself and KTM.

Despite the second place finish, Pecco Bagnaia is not satisfied with the weekend: “The thing that makes me angry is that I can not keep the same level between Saturday and Sunday and it is not the first time this has happened to me – he told the microphones of ‘Sky Sport‘ -. Today I started better, for sure, the difference was all in the’aggressiveness on the track”.

“Once I overtook Franco– added Bagnaia – I tried to push to get closer to the two I had in front, but when I felt a drop in tire performance I preferred to take the result home. Too bad, I was feeling good here, but the qualifying ruined everything: my fault that I started 11th, I could have achieved more”.

In the overall standings, Bagnaia is in third place with 97 points, while in the first two places there are Marc Marquez, the morning star of the weekend and first in the standings with 123 points, and his brother Alex, who follows instead at 106 and in the Bahrain GP finished for the first time this season off the podium, stopping in seventh place, which became sixth after the penalty to Viñales.
