Soulé responds to Romagnoli: derby between Lazio and Roma ends in a draw

The derby of the Capital between Lazio and Roma, the closing match of the Serie A Sunday, ends with the score 1-1: a result that can satisfy neither the Biancocelesti nor the Giallorossi in terms of Champions League, although the fight remains very open with the other competitors, Juventus and Bologna above all, between now and the end of the season.
In front of the Stadio Olimpico crowd, it was Lazio that got off to a better start, with Romagnoli making himself dangerous, on a firm ball action, at 7′: Svilar clears, the scheme will have more luck in the second half. The Biancocelesti remained dangerous in the first half and on 21′ tried Isaksen, who again found the Serbian goalkeeper on his way, and it was Isaksen again on 37′ who put a scare into the Giallorossi defense, with the far defender still keeping a good watch.
At the start of the second half there’s Cristante in place of Paredes in Roma. A little more than a minute passes and Lazio takes the lead: again a dead-ball scheme that frees Romagnoli for a header into the box, this time Svilar nun can get to it and it is 1-0. Ranieri is forced to chase and inserts an extra striker, Shomurodov, in place of Pellegrini, in minute 59.
Lazio seems to be in control but in 69′ the equalizer arrives: Saelemekers sees Soulé just outside the box and serves him, the Argentine unloads a powerful and precise conclusion that slams on the inside of the crossbar and enters just enough into the goal to activate goal-line technology: it is 1-1.
Baroni makes four changes in quick succession between 73′ and 80’with Pedro, Dia, Noslin and Belahyane taking the place of Isaksen, Castellanos, Dele-Bashiru and Zaccagni), Ranieri responds between 84’ and 88’ with Baldanzi, Rensch and El Shaarawy replacing Dovbyk, Saelemaekers and Soulé: the match remains physically intense but the result does not change anymore. It ends in a draw.
