These are the statements released by Empoli coach Roberto D’Aversa after the heavy 3-0 defeat to Antonio Conte&#8217s Napoli.

“We came here in great emergency, even losing a player at the last moment. The team played with courage. The regret is on the many situations created of not scoring goals, because the goal is very important both individually and as a team. We created situations, but we were not good at exploiting them” began the Empoli coach.

“Under the aspect of commitment and willingness to put Napoli in trouble, the boys did what I asked of them. It’s a game that still gives us confidence for next Sunday&#8217s match, which will be a direct clash, where we will have to do everything to try to get a full result, without making mistakes” continued the coach of the Tuscans.

“The regret is for the lack of concreteness in the goal area. Clearly we played against a team that is fighting for the Scudetto, so we have to think about where we can do better. This performance should give us hope for the challenge with Venezia, but we should not think at all that the next engagement will be more difficult than this one or that it will be more decisive” added the’former coach of Lecce and Sampdoria.

“Despite the long fast of victories we are still there with destiny in our hands, so we have to reason game by game and try to collect the maximum. We must not think about the’final goal, but path by path. Now let”s try to recover our energy and prepare for the next game as best we can”concluded Roberto D’Aversa.
