Paul Pogba’s return: between Miami, training and a future yet to be written

After difficult months, Paul Pogba is ready to rewrite his football destiny. His doping disqualification, initially of four years and later reduced to 18 months, officially ended on March 11, 2025, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the French midfielder. Currently in Miami, Pogba is training with great intensity, documenting his athletic sessions on social media, often accompanied by his children, a symbol of renewed family and personal balance.
In the last three years Pogba has collected just over ten official appearances, held back by constant injuries and psychological problems that he himself has publicly admitted. An extraordinary talent, he has too long remained on the fringes of great soccer. Now, however, at 32 years old, he still wants to fight, to return to the forefront and prove that he is by no means a former player.
Under the guidance of a personal trainer, the Frenchman is working hard to regain a fitness that is up to the level of soccer that counts. Negotiations for his future are ongoing, with various hypotheses on the table: Bundesliga, La Liga and Ligue 1 remain the most credible European destinations, but Pogba does not rule out an’adventure in the United States or Saudi Arabia. In the latter destination, Karim Benzema would also like him, who has reportedly personally contacted him to convince him to join him. But Pogba, for now, seems to want to stay in Europe.
In the meantime, former world champion Bixente Lizarazu has said he is ready to join him on this difficult but fascinating path of rebirth. The path will be long, but Pogba is there. Motivated, charged and with a clear goal: to return to prominence in the world of soccer.
