Grana Napoli: Juan Jesus's injury is more serious than expected

Napoli loses an important piece of its defensive department ahead of the next, decisive league games: the muscle injury that forced Juan Jesus to abandon the fight with the on Monday night at 72′ is in fact more serious than expected, since the instrumental examinations carried out by the player revealed an injury.
So the official note of the Partenopean club, published on Wednesday: “During the match against the’Empoli Juan Jesus suffered a muscle soreness. The Azzurri player underwent instrumental examinations today at Pineta Grande Hospital that showed a distractive injury of the semimembranosus muscle of the right thigh. Juan Jesus has already started the’rehabilitation process”.
The date of Juan Jesus’ return to the field is therefore an’unknown: bad news for Antonio Conte and his staff, who from now until the end of the season will not face direct clashes, but will have to deal with teams engaged in the salvation struggle and eager to score important points in that regard. Against Monza, in the game scheduled for Saturday at 6 p.m., there will most likely be Rafa Marin, already a substitute for Juan Jesus against l’Empoli.
Normal class of 1991, Juan Jesus has been at Napoli since the 2021-2022 season, coming from Roma, where he had played five seasons, freeing himself at the natural expiration of his contract. In his career, the Brazilian, champion of Italy with Napoli in 2022-2023, has also worn the Inter shirt and that of Internacional de Porto Alegre, with which he won a Gaucho Championship, the Libertadores in 2010 and the Recopa Sudamericana in 2011. With the Olympic national team he won silver in London 2012.
