After the 2-0 win in the’first leg at the ‘Benito Villamarin’, Sevilla-based Betis now seem well on their way to the Conference League semifinals, but they will still have to manage the double advantage in the return match against Jagiellonia, a Polish club from the city of Białystok. It will be played at the Chorten Arena, home of the reigning Polish champions, on Thursday, April 17 at 6:45 p.m.

.

Guided by Adrian Siemieniec, Jagiellonia is currently third in the Polish league standings and comes from a hard-fought victory at home to Legia Warsaw, with Churlinov’s goal at 41′. The Macedonian striker, who boasts experience in Germany (Cologne, Stuttgart, Schalke) and England (Burnley), is entrusted with the task of piercing the opponent&#8217s defense, with support from Mlki and Pululu.

On the other side Manuel Pellegrini aims to take another step toward what, in the dreams of the green-and-white fans, would be the first continental success of the club founded in Seville in 1907. Sunday’s defeat in the league against Villarreal, which came despite a lead signed by Ruibal, does not take away any sleep, but full attention will be needed to avoid bitter surprises in Poland.

Probable lineups

Jagiellonia (4-3-3): Abramowicz; Wojtuszek, Skrzypczak, Ebosse, Moutinho; Flach, Romanczuk, Imaz; MIki, Pululu, Churlinov. All. Siemieniec.

Betis (4-2-3-1): Adrian; Sabaly, Natan, Bartra, Perraud; Fornals, Cardoso; Antony, Isco, Rodriguez; Bakambu. All. Pellegrini.
