Trento closes series with Piacenza and flies to Scudetto final

L’Itas Trentino did not make a mistake in front of its own audience and detached the pass for the Scudetto finals. The Fabio Soli-coached team, in fact, made game 3 against Piacenza its own with a score of 3-1 (25-21; 22-25; 25-19; 25-18), thus completing the overcoat.
The team’s first game was played in the first set.
In the first partial the Emilians got off to a better start, flying to 16-11, but were caught up and overtaken by Lavia at 18-17. Subsequently, it is the same setter who closes the score on 25-21.
The second set develops in the second set.
The second set developed point-to-point until 15-15. At that point, however, it is Piacenza that finds a partial three consecutive points, which it manages to manage until the final 25-22.
The second set is a one-set affair.
In the third set, it is Itas Trentino that is the first to break the balance thanks to the plays of Micheletto, who also takes the satisfaction of scoring the 25-19 point that is worth the third partial.
In the fourth set, the Fabio Soli-coached team made things clear from the start by flying away in the score at 7-1. Piacenza, for its part, also managed to claw its way back down to -3, but the next acceleration by the Dolomites was the decisive one and the Emilians ended up succumbing 25-18.
The team’s performance was a tremendous one.
Huge impact performance by setter Alessandro Michieletto, author of 24 points (2 walls, 4 ace), joined in the department by Daniele Lavia (9 points). Director Riccardo Sbertoli also sent opposite Kamil Rychlicki (18 points) and center Flavio Resende (17 points, 3 walls) into double figures, joined in the department by Jan Kozamernik (7). Among Piacenza’s ranks the best was bomber Yuri Romanò (15 points), 9 points for hammer Stephen Maar backed by Efe Mandiraci (9), 8 for center Robertlandy Simon and 5 for Gianluca Galassi.
In the Scudetto final, l’Itas Trentino will face the winner of the match between Perugia and Civitanova, with the Block Devils leading 2-1.
