Juventus, good news from the infirmary: Bremer returns to running

Juventus can finally smile: Gleison Bremer has made his return to the training field, a long-awaited sign that rekindles the hopes of Juventus fans. After six months of enforced stoppage due to a ruptured cruciate ligament, which occurred during the ill-fated Champions League match against Leipzig last October 2, the Brazilian defender has resumed running at Continassa.

The injury, which kept him out of the spotlight for much of the season, was a blow to Tudor’s team. Bremer, last season, had established himself as one of the leaders of the Juventus rearguard, thanks to solid performances, an imposing physical presence and quiet but effective leadership. His absence has weighed on the performance of the Bianconeri defense, which has struggled to maintain the same solidity without one of its key elements.

His return to the field, even if only for the first individual runs, represents a milestone on the road to recovery and instills optimism in the Juventus environment. It is not yet a return to the group, but the fact that Bremer has started working on the field is a clear sign of progress.

The Brazilian defender’s return is expected, however, not before the Club World Cup, which will see Juventus involved from Sat. June 14 to Sunday, July 13.
