Serie A 2024-2025: Roma v Verona, the likely lineups

On Saturday, April 19 at 8:45 p.m., the Stadio Olimpico will host the match between Roma and Hellas Verona, valid for the 33rd day of Serie A. Claudio Ranieri’s Giallorossi, fresh from the 1-1 draw in the Capitoline derby against Lazio, are in the midst of a race for a place in Europe: with 54 points won (15 wins, 9 draws and 8 defeats), they currently occupy seventh position and arrive at the appointment on the strength of a positive streak of 16 consecutive useful results.
On the other hand, Paolo Zanetti’s Hellas Verona is in a more complicated area of the standings: 14th place with a share of 32, the result of: 9 wins, 5 draws and 18 defeats. The Gialloblù, coming off a 0-0 draw against Genoa on the last day, have collected three draws and one win in their last four matches.
Ranieri’s Roma should go down with the 3-4-2-1. In goal should once again be Mile Svilar. In defense, however, there should be room for the trio consisting of Celik, Gianluca Mancini and N’Dicka. In midfield, Saelemaekers and Angelino should act on the side lanes. In the center of the field, the direction should be given to Leandro Paredes, flanked by the physicality and dynamism of Manu Koné. In attack, behind Eldor Shomurodov, currently ahead in the runoff with Dovbyk, should be Matías Soulé and Tommaso Baldanzi.
Paolo Zanetti, on the other hand, should rely on his classic 3-4-1-2. The Gialloblù coach should once again field Montipò. In defense, the trio should consist of Ghilardi, Coppola and Nicolas Valentini. In midfield, Duda and Dawidowicz should act in the heart of the midfield, while on the outsides there should be space for Tchatchoua and Bradarić. The novelty should come from the three-quarter: Bernede is favored over Suslov who, restored after injury, should start from the bench. The offensive pair should be formed by Mosquera and Livramento.
