Simone Vagnozzi doesn’t budge on the comparison between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz

During an’interview at the microphones of “La Repubblica”, Simone Vagnozzi, among the various topics covered, bluntly expressed himself on a much-discussed issue in recent times, namely who is the best among his assisted Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, who are the main protagonists of this new era of tennis.
“Both Sinner and Alcaraz are outstanding players, but it depends on the surface, the weather of the day and the’time of day they take the court. Overall, I think only at the end of their careers will we be able to find out who has won more titles and who has been the better of the two” debuted the coach of the South Tyrolean.
“When I met Jannik he was a very good player with little tactical vision. Today he has it, he has improved his serve and his descent to the net. He can still work on some variations on clay and become more confident when he comes down to the net. Of him I appreciate that he never takes himself too seriously, he doesn”t feel special” continued the coach of the world number one.
“I am convinced that Sascha will win at least one Slam. He’s improved a lot since the ankle injury. He has made more strides since then than in the whole previous period” added the Marche player.
In conclusion, Simone Vagnozzi commented on the disqualification over the Clostebol case: “It’s been a shock. After reconstructing what happened, I told him that we had to walk around with our heads held high, because Jannik had done nothing wrong and anyone who has read the documents knows that. I wouldn”t wish such a situation on anyone.
