Bologna-Inter, Simone Inzaghi has clear ideas: only two changes

The term turnover, for the moment, has no meaning for Simone Inzaghi. For Sunday’s challenge at the Dall’Ara against Bologna, the Nerazzurri coach intends to reintroduce, in fact the same team that succeeded in the impresa to eliminate Bayern Munich from the Champions League.

Specifically, 9/11 of the lineup seen at San Siro against the Bavarians will be confirmed, and the only two changes are due to less than optimal physical conditions and not a technical choice. In goal, of course, there will be room for Sommer, who has been proving to be in great form lately.

In front of the Swiss goalkeeper the usual three-man defense composed of Pavard, Acerbi (idolized by the Nerazzurri fans after yet another great performance against Bayern Munich) and Bastoni. On the flanks will act Darmian and Carlos Augusto, the latter preferred to Dimarco who is not in the best condition and, therefore, “invited” to sit on the bench (he should be back as a starter against Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-final return match).

The three midfielders will be the usual ones, namely Barella, Calhanoglu and Mkhitaryan. The second and final change concerns the attack. Confirmed Lautaro Martinez, the hero of the Champions League return match against Bayern Munich. Alongside him there will be no Thuram (injured and not summoned) but Correa who will therefore have a great chance to shine. On the bench ready to lend a hand are Taremi and Arnautovic.
