A.C. Milan lost, at home, against Atalanta. The Rossoneri are, at the moment, ninth in the standings with 51 points, a long way from the Champions League zone. Against Dea, the Diavolo disappointed, failing to shoot once towards the opponent’s goal. A defeat that hurts badly, coming just days before the return of the cup Italia semifinal against Inter, the most important game of this season finale.

Conceiçao is on the gridiron. Many think that entrusting him with the team was a big mistake. The Portuguese, in the post-match of the match he lost to Atalanta, lashed out, tired of hearing about who will be the next Milan coach: “Here I won the Coppa Italia and from the next game they started talking about other coaches. It is not easy for me, I think these people have no respect, they talk about the next season as if the Milan coach has never coached. If you ask me, I tell you that is what I feel”, his clear words.

The current Milan coach also launched a provocation, pointing out how many years Milan has failed to win two titles (after winning the Italian Super Cup, in theory the Rossoneri could take home the Coppa Italia). In fact, it has not happened since the 2007/08 season (Italian Super Cup and Club World Cup).

The challenge with Inter, scheduled for Wednesday, April 23, is the match of a lifetime for Conceiçao. Knocking out Inter seems the only possible way to prove to everyone that his actions on the Rossoneri bench make sense. The detractors are waiting for him.
