Nicola Larini compliments Charles Leclerc and scares Lewis Hamilton

Ospite of RadioAnch’io Sport on Rai Radio 1 l’former Formula One (and Ferrari) driver Nicola Larini made the point about Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton: “Leclerc had a strong race, he wanted the result badly and handled it great. He fought tooth and nail with a Norris who was quite nervous and struggling, because he has a teammate like Piastri who is doing superlative things. With a Norris behind him who was more aggressive than ever, Charles managed to maintain a pace that no one expected”.

“Good strategy, that of Ferrari in Jeddah. It brought an important race result, bodes well for the European races. It shows that the car is there, even if it lacks a few tenths. Lewis is suffering, he certainly doesn&#8217t have Leclerc&#8217s speed, he doesn&#8217t have the same determination, good or bad a few world championships won he has behind him. It is not an easy situation for him, because he has a driver on his team who wants what Hamilton already had. It will be a very difficult season for him”.

“I know Antonelli times of karting, he was a few categories ahead of where my younger son raced. I always considered him a real talent, he had something extra already at eleven-twelve years old. What he is doing now is nothing but a confirmation of what he started doing as a child. He has maturity and speed, he is already steadily within one-two tenths of an experienced driver like Russell.
