Lewis Hamilton has had such a negative impact with Ferrari, at least in the eyes of some in the industry, that the seven-time world champion may even be considering a farewell to Formula 1 in a few months. This was claimed by Ralf Schumacher, who while recalling the Briton&#8217s victory in the Shanghai Sprint Race, describes him as embattled to such an extent that he has not ruled out a next retirement.

“We talk a lot about Lando Norris, but Ferrari’s handling of Hamilton is even worse. He simply isn’t making it. And you can see it – that&#8217s the impression of Ralf Schumacher, who told the German newsroom of ‘Sky‘ -. I see him really dejected, because when you go to the track and you realize you are slow and you don”t know how to fix it, you lose everything”.

“I know from personal experience that at some point Formula 1 stops being fun. It can happen that one day you wake up wondering why you are still doing this. You are no longer having fun, and you have the feeling that you are a hindrance to the team as well. And if it continues like this, the risk is that Hamilton will say to himself that at 40 d’age he wants a different life” continued Ralf Schumacher.

“Hamilton showed in China that he can still give his best on a congenial track and with a good set-up of the car– however, Ralf Schumacher pointed out -But with Ferrari they had a colossal project in mind, and at the moment the gap with Charles Leclerc is really important. I never thought they would be so far apart”.
