Bologna beats Empoli in the return leg as well and joins Milan in Coppa Italia final

The Bologna reaches the Milan in the final of the Coppa Italia. After the 0-3 win at Castellani, in fact, the Felsina team, among friendly walls, repeated itself also in the return by winning the’encounter with Empoli in extremis for 2-1, earning the chance to play a trophy 51 years after the last time.
It took the hosts only seven minutes to unlock the result: Moro got rid of Bacci and crossed to the second post for Fabbian, who with an imperious break caught Seghetti off-guard. Eight minutes later, the Felsinians went close to doubling the score with Dallinga, who was denied the joy of goal by an excellent reflex by the Tuscan extreme defender.
In the central part of the first half, Empoli also began to show itself, finding the equalizing goal in the 33rd minute: Sambia served Solbakken, who kicked toward the goal, finding Ravaglia’s response with his feet. On the rebound, however, Kovalenko is the quickest to put the ball back into the net.
In the second half, it was Bologna again to make themselves dangerous with Dominguez in the 69th minute, who was closed down by Seghetti. After a round of substitutions, the Rossoblù crowned their qualification for the final in the best possible way, even finding the winning goal in the 88th minute: Lykogiannis crossed to the second post for Dallinga, who headed the ball ahead of Tosta and beat Seghetti.
