During an’interview given to the microphones of the French newspaper “L’Equipe”, Federica Brignone, a few weeks after the very bad injury she suffered at the Italian alpine skiing championships in Val di Fassa, wanted to take stock of her physical condition and the next steps in her recovery.

“The leg is fine, it was complicated to live with the’accident, but at the moment everything is going well. Obviously it wasn&#8217t the end of the season I was hoping for, but I remain positive and we have to accept these things, because they are part of our sport” began the skier from Valle d’Aosta.

“In mid-May we will take stock of the situation to see if surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament will also be necessary. I do a lot of rehabilitation and physiotherapy, they took out my stitches in the past few days and next week I will be able to start swimming again” added the 34-year-old from Milan.

“I came home, saw friends, read and put ice on my knee. It’s too early to make any predictions, however, it is clear that the first two months will be very important” she commented Federica Brignone.
