Just hours before the challenge with Udinese, Claudio Fenucci, chief executive officer of Bologna, spoke at the microphones of Radio Anch’Io Sport. “For the Champions will be an interesting duel – he began -, we are there with all the others and we will try to play our cards until the end. We have so many direct clashes, but we think match by match already from today”’s challenge with Udinese.

“Is Champions qualification or winning the Coppa Italia better? Getting to the Italian Cup final was a great achievement. It is one of the competitions within reach for a club like ours. Winning the Scudetto is difficult; Atalanta, which has been doing very well for several years, proves that. The Coppa Italia is a dream that we will all live together. If I had to choose, I would prefer to bring home the Coppa Italia. But we will think about the cup the week of May 14, today the focus is on Udine, an important match to continue on our path”.

“Future Orsolini? He is a son of Bologna. In the past, when we received offers, we said he would gladly stay. No one is incedible? Maybe, but the market needs to be talked about at the right times. In the end there is no team in the world that does not grow by selling players, it is a dynamic. Even last year, however, I complained that our players were being approached by other teams”.

He then spoke about the future of Vincenzo Italiano: “We have already started talking about contract extension, but regardless of the results. I think he has done a great job, it was not easy to join a group that the year before was exalted both in terms of results and individual growth of the players”.

“He got into the heads of the players, transformed this team and brought it to confirm the results of last year. Beyond what will happen between now and the end, we have the intention to continue with him and thus extend the relationship. This is not the time to talk about it because we are engaged in two competitions, but we have expressed our will” Fenucci concluded.
