Jannik Sinner spoke again in an interview with Tg1: “Everyone is free to say what they want, for me it is important that I know what happened and what I went through. I am not interested in responding to those who attacked me. I don&#8217t wish anyone to go through something like this as innocent, we are in a world where everyone can say what they want”.

“I miss the competition, I am very happy that this phase is over and I am ready to start again, although a period of stop, maybe not so long, I needed”.

Clostebol case: “I did not understand what happened, I did not know anything. I struggled to accept these three months, because in my head I did nothing. I experienced a whole year of difficulty”.

“You always look at results, however how I felt on the field was not how a player should feel, because we train a lot and then have fun when we play a good game. I this fun, day after day, I saw it go a little bit’away, because I thought about other things. And when I arrived in Australia last January I was uncomfortable, partly because I felt like the other players looked at me differently. For a moment I even thought of giving up everything”.

“The luck I had was the people who were around me, who helped me a lot and believed in me. They were very important in helping me in those moments there, I am talking about my team, the people that I have around me, the family, and in the end I built a little bit’ my bubble, where nobody else was entering and that definitely gave me the will to continue, the will to prepare well for the Slams. How do I handle the anger? I have shots, too. Playing tennis is like poker. If you see that the other person is struggling, that gives you strength. I have times when I am tired, nervous and I don&#8217t feel the match; my team has to do tricks to make me feel the match. There are times when not everything goes perfectly. But at the end of the day, tennis is a game and you have to play. Smashing the racket or throwing the ball doesn”.
