Marc Marquez was the undisputed star of the day of MotoGP testing, staged Monday in Jerez, being the’only rider to go under the wall of the’1’36. “We had a very long program. We tried a lot of things and some of them were positive –he told the media present in Andalusia. “There was nothing too big, but a lot of little details. Some things we just tried again, because we already had them at the last test in Thailand, but the feeling was good throughout the day. The chassis? I didn&#8217t test it, we rode with the usual”.

The eight-time world champion returned to the fall in the Spanish GP that compromised his race on Sunday: “It’was a fall that I had to avoid, because I was too fast and now I’ve realized it. I went in a little bit too wide and I tried to hold the line, also because it was a left turn and I feel very comfortable in those. In fact, it was the first fall of the year on that side. I thought I could make it, but it wasn&#8217t possible. It’s been an overconfidence, I have to be more careful in the future”.

“I am not angry with myself, these things happen– added the Cabroncito.”

Certainly it is a pity that despite the great state of form with which I started the season, I am second in the championship, but I am only one point behind. The reason, however, is that I have made mistakes that I must try to avoid if I want to fight for the World Championship. So far it&#8217s the year I&#8217m falling the least, but I fell twice on Sunday”.

Explanation about the new lever on the left side of the handlebars: “It is only for loading the rear at the start. We had it in another place before and it was bothering me in riding, so I asked that they move it. Simply, Pecco kept it where it has always been and I’changed it”.
