Paolo Bertolucci berates Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev and pushes Jannik Sinner higher and higher

During an’interview with the “Corriere della Sera”, Paolo Bertolucci, among other topics covered, did not go easy on Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev, who failed to take advantage of Jannik Sinner‘s disqualification to close the gap in the ATP Ranking.
“What you would think was that Alexander and Carlos would be able to get considerably closer to him in the rankings and maybe even overtake him, but instead they made disasters. I think Sinner will be able to sleep soundly for a long time yet” began the commentator of “Sky Sports tennis”.
“Zverev completely messed up the schedule by going to play in South America and from there he messed up by losing reference points. Alcaraz claims that he suffered from the pressure triggered by Jannik’s disqualification, but even considering this claim to be true, the fact that he lacks continuity is well-founded and was also seen last season” added Paolo Bertolucci.
Jannik Sinner is already certain to remain world number one for at least 52 weeks. The’elimination of Alexander Zverev in the round of 16 of the Madrid Masters 1000, in addition, has allowed the’South Tyrolean to re-enter the circuit with a sizeable lead over his pursuers.
