Ademola Lookman-Inter: the mystery deepens further
The future of Ademola Lookman is all but written, and hour after hour the mystery thickens, offering seamless twists and turns. The’latest is related to the player’s social profiles, which since Friday evening have not shown any more photos of the striker in an Orobici jersey. L’Atalanta no longer even appears among the profiles followed by Lookman himself.
The Nigerian national, moreover, has removed the words “Atalanta” player; from the description of his Instagram profile: a further indication of the break with the club that brought him to Italy in the summer of 2022 by picking him up from Leipzig in exchange for 15 million euros, the day after his return to Germany from his loan at Leicester City.
The situation is therefore constantly evolving: Atalanta has responded with a sharp ‘no’ to Inter, which has proposed 45 million including bonuses, but risks living with a home separate, who after staying last year in spite of the Parisian sirens, this time is firmly intent on accepting the multi-year deal proposed by the Beneamata.
What is certain is that Lookman will not play in the friendly that Atalanta will face precisely against Leipzig on Saturday, August 2, officially due to a physical problem. However, further developments are awaited with regard to the tug-of-war between the two Nerazzurri clubs, with the prospect of a compromise, however, still seeming far away.
