This is how John Elkann, chairman of Ferrari and CEO of Exor, takes stock of the Redhead&#8217s season in Formula, in an interview with Sky Sport, in the aftermath of the confirmed confidence in the team principal, Frederic Vasseur: “It has been a year that has not been easy, but when we are united and cohesive we give the best”.

“He led Ferrari and allowed it to progress in these years– added Elkann –We were second and close to the World title, this year we are second. When you are progressing it is important to strengthen yourself. The’idea of continuing with Frederic is just to keep working and progressing. The most important part is never losing the will to win, which must be a constant.”

The following are statements, also to Sky, from Vasseur himself: “In F1 there is no magic: it is all in the details. At the beginning of the season we had to make concessions and we lost the pace of development. But now we are back on the right track. We shouldn&#8217t think they have something secret: it&#8217s a matter of many small, steady steps, not a sudden big leap”.

About his renewal, Vasseur added: “As I said at the beginning: building a team takes time and patience. It takes two-three years to get the right people, and then one-two to get results. Sometimes it is faster, sometimes slower, but there are no shortcuts. You need vision and process.”
