Volleyball World Cup, official list of 25 Azzurri

Today, the Italian Volleyball Federation notified the FIVB of the list of 25 Italian athletes for the 2025 Men’s World Championships, which will be played from September 12 to 28 in Manila, Philippines.

From the list of twenty-five, technical commissioner Ferdinando De Giorgi will select the 14 athletes who will take part in the rainbow event, in which Italy will present itself as reigning World Champions.

Italy will make its debut on Sunday, Sept. 14, against Algeria (3:30 p.m. Italian time), then face Belgium (Sept. 16, 3:30 p.m.) and Ukraine (Sept. 18, 3:30 p.m.).

Ballplayers: Simone Giannelli, Riccardo Sbertoli, Mattia Boninfante, Paolo Porro.
Opposers: Kamil Rychlicki, Yuri Romano’, Alessandro Bovolenta, Tommaso Guzzo.
Slappers: Daniele Lavia, Alessandro Michieletto, Mattia Bottolo, Francesco Recine, Luca Porro. Francesco Sani, Davide Gardini.
Centerbacks: Simone Anzani, Roberto Russo, Gianluca Galassi, Giovanni Gargiulo, Giovanni Sanguinetti, Lorenzo Cortesia, Edoardo Caneschi.
