F1, Hungary GP: fabulous Charles Leclerc, it’s pole position

A phenomenal Charles Leclerc takes pole position in the qualifying session of the Hungarian Grand Prix. On the Hungaroring circuit, in fact, the Ferrari driver signed the best time at the last attempt, turning in 1’15″372.

Behind the Monegasque were the two McLarens of Oscar Piastri, second at 26 thousandths, and Lando Norris, third at 41. Fourth place for George Russell’s Mercedes, 53 thousandths behind leader Leclerc, while Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) is fifth, one tenth down.

The Mercedes of George Russell is fifth, one tenth down.

Sixth is the other Aston Martin of Lance Stroll, ahead of the Kick Sauber of Gabriel Bortoleto and the Red Bull of Max Verstappen, only eighth. Closing out the top 10 are the Racing Bulls of Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar. Badly Lewis Hamilton, eliminated in Q2: he will start 12th.
