Ferrari: Lewis Hamilton in crisis, Carlos Sainz intervenes

If Lewis Hamilton seems to be signaling to Ferrari a discomfort of his own that almost borders on the feeling of being unsuitable for the seat of the Cavallino’s single-seaters, his predecessor Carlos Sainz does not seem to want to take advantage of it. Indeed, the Spanish driver, who himself is struggling in his first year in Williams, does not seem to want to be shoes to his British colleague. At least, not at the moment.
Sainz returned to talk about Ferrari on the occasion of the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend, in the same hours in which Hamilton admitted to the microphones of the British editorial staff of ‘Sky Sports’ that he felt so uncomfortable at Ferrari that he did not rule out the possibility that Maranello might decide to change drivers. But the Madrid native has decided to focus on other aspects that the Emilian team has clarified in recent days.
In particular, Sainz said he was happy with the confirmation of Frederic Vasseur as team principal of Ferrari, only later to expand on this without, however, going into the specifics of Hamilton’s troubles. “I think in Maranello they simply wanted to shut up the many rumors that have been circulating in recent months” said the Williams driver.
Then Sainz stated something else. A sibylline phrase that could also relate to Hamilton’s present, but also to his past until last season. “When you are in Ferrari, you have to constantly deal with so much speculation. Often the rumors become much bigger than they need to be, which is why the team has to make official announcements. It is practically forced to do so”, said the Spaniard.
