Luka Modric shakes Milan: "No to mediocrity, here to win now"

Luka Modric speaks clearly on the day of his presentation as a new Milan player. The Croatian midfielder arrived in Milan with one goal: to win, and win now. “We must not settle for a mediocre season or qualify for Champions”.
“The minimum goal is Champions League qualification, but Milan must fight to win trophies: that is my goal and it must also be the goal for anyone who works at Milan. But you have to remain humble and have a solid group. You have to work hard to bring the team back to high levels. I am very competitive, I want to bring this to the team”.
“Milan was my favorite team because it was very popular in Croatia. There was my idol Boban who did so much good here. I always had a special affection for these colors”.
“I can offer my experience, I will work hard and give my best to try to do what I did elsewhere. I have to do what I have done in the past to help in all respects. I know there are a lot of expectations on me, but I am ready and looking forward to this challenge”.
Final season as a soccer player? “I don“t know. My goal is to play the World Cup with Croatia, but in the meantime you need to qualify. I don’t look too far ahead, I try to stay and live in the present, do things well today without carrying myself forward. That is why I want to start this adventure, prepare as best I can and be at the level that this society requires”.
