Friendlies, Pisa’s clear defeat to Bayer Leverkusen

Bayer Leverkusen were too strong for Gilardino’s Pisa. In the first luxury friendly match, the Germans crushed the Nerazzurri, who managed to sting only in the second half when the hosts were down to 10 even with the match abundantly in the bag.

More advanced in preparation (the Bundesliga starts before Serie A), the German team dominated the Tuscans in the first half, scoring three times and hitting two posts.
