Napoli, Kevin De Bruyne sends a message to skeptics

After winning only one of the four friendly matches played before Saturday (2-1 against Catanzaro), Napoli returned to smile in a friendly and did so against Girona, in the match played at the ‘Teofilo Patini’ in Castel di Sangro (L’Aquila): 3-2 was the final result, starring one of the most talked about men in previous outings, Kevin De Bruyne.
The footballer, who arrived on a zero-parameter after his experience at Manchester City, in fact scored two goals, on 16′ and 23′ these were the goals of 2-0 and 3-0, which followed the goal scored by Giovanni Di Lorenzo who had opened the scoring on 5′. Before halftime Girona would then shorten with Stuani’s double (34′ and 42′), but the result would not change from there to 90′.
De Bruyne, in his first goals in a blue shirt, played for 76 minutes before leaving the field to another of this summer’s new arrivals to Antonio Conte’s court, Dutchman Noa Lang. His goals sounded like an answer to those who had commented skeptically on his performances in matches against Arezzo, Catanzaro and Brest.
Napoli’s preseason now counts two wins, one draw and two losses: the wins came against Girona and Catanzaro (on July 26), the draw against Casertana last August 4 (1-1), and the losses against Arezzo (2-0 on July 22) and Brest (2-1 on August 3). The schedule includes two more preparation matches, against Sorrento on Aug. 10 and Olympiacos on Aug. 14.
