Carlos Alcaraz, what a struggle! Dzumhur knocked out only in 3rd set in Cincinnati

Carlos Alcaraz struggles more than expected in his debut at the Cincinnati Masters 1000. The world and seeded number two needed three sets to overcome Damir Dzumhur, number 56 in the ATP rankings, defeated with a final score of 6-1 2-6 6-3 after an hour and 41 minutes of play.
Alcaraz went close to breaking as early as in the opening game’but Dzumhur saved both break points. However, it will be the Bosnian’s only game of the partial as he suffers a run of six consecutive games by the Spaniard who cashes in the first set 6-1.
Alcaraz is not the only one.
In the second set, however, comes an empty passage of the Murcian in the third game that costs him dearly: Dzumhur goes ahead by a break and even doubles it in the fifth game before closing with a resounding 6-2.
In the third set, Alcaraz immediately returned to lead in the score, taking the Bosnian off serve in the fourth game. The Spaniard, however, lost his serve again in the seventh game before settling things down and winning the last two games that earned him the match.
