Eredivisie 2025-26: Ajax-Telstar, the likely lineups

The 2025-2026 season kicks off in the Netherlands, with the first Eredivisie matches scheduled this weekend.

On Saturday, defending champions Psv Eindhoven took a beating against Sparta, who were sent back to Rotterdam with six goals on their backs.

On Sunday at Amsterdam’s “Johan Cruijff Arena” (2:30 p.m. kickoff), Ajax hosts newly promoted Telstar with the goal of getting off on the right foot right away and answering their rivals.

The red and whites, who have switched from Farioli’s leadership to Heitinga’s, are looking to put last season’s resounding denouement behind them, when Psv managed to overtake them in extremis, snatching a title that seemed to be already in the hands of the Lancers.
