Giacomo Raspadori, goodbye Napoli: signing with Atletico Madrid one step away

Calciomercato Napoli: Giacomo Raspadori is getting closer and closer to saying goodbye to the Azzurri and Serie A to start again in the Spanish La Liga, more precisely from Atletico Madrid. The national team striker is in fact arrived in the Spanish capital early Sunday afternoon and is now one step away from a definitive yes to the Colchoneros.
The’deal is practically finalized, with Atletico Madrid offering Raspadori a five-year contract. The Rojiblanco club, which also fished Matteo Ruggeri from Italy’Atalanta in this summer soccer session, will pay Napoli about 22 million euros for the player, plus another 4 million that could be triggered when various bonuses are reached.

Raspadori’s departure was now largely in the air, so much so that the former Sassuolo striker was not available to Antonio Conte in Castel di Sangro, where the Italian champions presented themselves to the fans before facing Sorrento and beating them 4-0. Born in Bentivoglio, in the province of Bologna, on Feb. 18, 2000, Raspadori made his name in Serie A thanks to four seasons played with the Sassuolo shirt between 2018 and 2022. He also played one’last time for the neroverdi at the beginning of 2022-2023, before moving to Napoli in August of the same year. Since then, in three seasons, he has scored 13 goals in the top Italian league in the Azzurri shirt, plus five in the Champions League.
