Lewis Hamilton and the "dossiers" on the Ferrari of 2025: his truth

Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari have gone through a decisively bumpy process of getting to know each other, so much so that the seven-time world champion went into the season’s summer break with very few prestigious results to his credit and a far smaller points haul than his teammate Charles Leclerc. Numerous criticisms received in recent months, plus some suggestions to the Maranello stable that have even increased the controversy. So much so that it prompted him to shed light on the issue.
With Ferrari deciding to make significant technical changes to the bottom and rear suspension from the Austrian Grand Prix onwards, there has also been talk of the suggestions Hamilton himself allegedly made to the Prancing Horse engineers. The Englishman, however, wanted to clarify that these were not diktats, but merely impressions gathered over these difficult months.
“In those documents I did not give orders to the stable. It was just ideas, suggestions to do this, or try this’other. Or suggestions, like that with this’other solution we could lighten a specific area or improve another one’another one” are Hamilton’s words on the matter, reported by ‘Eurosport‘. In other words: the ’former Mercedes driver has on the one hand reassured about his relations with Ferrari engineers, but on the other hand confirmed that his “dossiers” on the SF-25 really exist.
The need to change course at the resumption of the championship set for late August remains. Net of the extemporaneous exploit in the Shanghai Sprint Race, Hamilton put up only six points at two friendly tracks like Spa and Hungaroring compared with 32 for his boxmate Leclerc. And never in his career had he reached this point in the season without even a podium finish: important that his first year at Ferrari not end as it began.
