Saturday with positive and negative notes for Inter, which in Monza got the better of the Biancorossi hosts only on penalties after a 2-2 draw accrued during the 90 minutes. Spectacular scoring by Francesco Pio Esposito, but the Nerazzurri then managed to score only on an own goal while on the field they conceded two goals from opponents who will take part in the next Serie B championship.

The first real chance of the match came after half an hour, with Bonny taking advantage of Brorsson&#8217s misplacement but then finishing high from a very favorable position. A few minutes later Monza went through with Ciurria: Caprari did well to get away on the left and put a ball into the box that on 32′ the undisturbed former Spezia man deposits behind Josep Martinez.

At the end of the half, Bianco loses Dany Mota, who suffers a blow to the head, and makes room for Ganvoula as the Nerazzurri begin to push hard. But it would not be enough not to go to rest at a disadvantage. But it wouldn&#8217t be enough not to go to rest at a disadvantage if Birindelli found nothing better than to kill off his own goalkeeper with a header for the 1-1.

But it took only a few minutes of the resumption for Pio Esposito to wring further applause after a frame-making pre-season. Served by Darmian, it was he at 52′ who put Inter back in the lead with a valuable backheel. Then came the usual whirlwind of changes that saw Cristian Chivu send on the starters, such as Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram and Nicolò Barella.

To score resoundingly again, however, is Monza, with the very fresh newcomer Paulo Azzi who at’89’ fixes the final result at 2-2. But the Brianza evening is not over yet: just after the 90′ comes the pinwheel of penalties to award one winner, which turns out to be Inter after from the eleven meters only Sardo misses.
