Ligue 1 2025-2026: Rennes-Marseille, the likely formations

Rennes opens the new Ligue 1 season with a prestigious challenge: at Roazhon Park comes Roberto De Zerbi’s Marseille. The Rossoneri aim to leave behind last year’s 12th place finish, the worst result in the last decade, and return permanently to the top of the standings.
The opener, however, will not be the easiest. On the other side is a Marseille fresh off a brilliant year, which ended in second place behind PSG. The goal of De Zerbi’s men is clear: to fight for the title. The new additions Paixão, Weah and Aubameyang testify to the ambitions of the club, ready to threaten the summit.
