Parma, official strike in attack: who is the versatile Matija Frigan

Parma announced on August evening the fourth reinforcement of the summer, Croatian striker Matija Frigan, arriving from Westerlo for about 10 million euros. “Parma Calcio announces that Matija Frigan has been bought outright from Koninklijke Voetbal Club Westerlo and has signed a contract until June 30, 2030” reads the note from the ducal club.
“Born in Croatia in Rijeka in 2003, Matija has played 137 career matches with four clubs, made his Europa League debut with HNK Rijeka and also played in the Champions League preliminaries. In the Croatian national team jersey, he has appeared with the U18, U19 and U21. But he is a striker and has only one fixed goal in his head: goals. He has scored 42, including 20 with KVC Westerlo”.
Frigan, 22, is 185 centimeters tall and can play in multiple roles in attack, either as a central forward, a second forward on the move or an outside forward. He sees the goal and has a powerful left foot, which makes him dangerous from outside the box.
The player has already undergone medical examinations and signed his new contract. He could already take the field on Sunday against Pescara.
